The ever changing water-scape is memorizing and intoxicating as you let yourself experience many facets of the pond...with spiraling Osprey birds who nest and feed along the shoreline, sailors who sail in their beautiful vessels, vacationers who water ski, kayak, paddle-board or for those that just enjoy taking a dip in the cool waters. Just before you reach the Sailing Camp, which abuts acres of conservation land and numerous walking trails and off of Barnes Road is a long paved driveway to your destination. What awaits you are three grand bedrooms in the main house and two in the separate guest house. The main house has a fully equipped kitchen perfect for any size meal. This space includes a large dining table that seats twelve with a view of the water. Numerous types of mold occur naturally in homes on the Vineyard; some people may be sensitive to it and have allergic reactions.
We stay at the Vineyard every other year and this was by far our favorite place! The pictures don?t even capture all of the beauty within and surrounding this home. To begin with, the drive down the driveway feels like you?re entering a hotel. The pictures online don?t capture how long the driveway and the beautiful landscape truly is-it was the perfect area for our children to throw a football and frisbee around without worrying about traffic or neighbors. The house itself was perfect for our three families. The kitchen is extremely well stocked-you really don?t need to bring a thing and the grill is in great shape (and clean). There are only two bedrooms in the main house but there is an additional guest house with two bedrooms and the finished basement which can only be entered from the outside and was the perfect spot for our older children; 4 of them. It also has a couch and television so that they could have their space to watch movies at night. The main house also has two living room type areas for gathering and a blow up air mattress could easily fit in one of those areas if need be. The view from the bedroom and decks is simply breathtaking. My favorite part of the day was waking up and watching the sunrise from the deck! The home also comes with 4 paddle boards, two kayaks and life jackets for your use. We used them daily and had an absolute blast! Upon arrival, the guest house did have a musty smell to it but after opening some windows and airing it out, it was fine. It may have not been used the prior week and just needed some air flow. The shower inside the guest house is a little bit small. However, the guest house also has its own outdoor shower. In total, there are 5 showers; 3 inside and 2 outside! I was lucky enough to have the master bedroom during our stay and the view from the master is absolutely breathtaking. There are two walls of windows so it can be bright if you don?t shut the shades (which we didn?t because the views were too amazing to shut out) but the homeowners were kind enough to provide eye masks for sleeping! The only downfall to the master was the bed. I hate to say it but the mattress really was the most uncomfortable mattress that I have ever slept on; definitely needs updating. This is the only reason that I did not give 5 stars. Otherwise, I would easily give 5 stars or more. Beautiful home. Perfect location. Stunning views. Thank you for sharing your home with us!!
