The historic Look House is located in Chilmark about a mile west of Beetlebung Corners. Built in the early 1900's (incorporating previous homes built in the mid-1800's), has just been completely remodeled. The historic character of the home was kept along with updates to suit modern comforts and conveniences. The first floor hall and dining room opens out to the deck and outdoor shower. The new large bedrooms (first and second floors) have windows on three sides that fill with sunlight. The third and fourth bedrooms are in the footprint of the historic house, and have operable skylights with shades. The living room features a full home theater system, including a 55 inch OLED TV with 3D, surround sound, BluRay player, Netflix account, and Apple TV. Game consoles can easily be connected to all TVs. All bedrooms are wired for cable, internet and phone. The Look House is within minuets to the Chilmark Store, library and community center. Close to town beaches (Lucy Vincent and Squibnocket) and to the quaint fishing village of Menemsha. Beach passes can be purchased through the town hall. In addition, the Look House offers a key to the coveted and private Quansoo Association beach, an additional $750 refundable Key deposit is required.
